PAWS Animal Rescue receive funding

PAWS animal rescue which is situated only 6km from Callan on the Mullinahone Road has received some desperately needed government funding.

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue today announced funding of €6 million to 101 animal welfare charities nationwide, PAWS animal rescue has received an allocation of €76,475 from this fund.

This is much needed funding for PAWS and while it might seem like a lot we would very much encourage everyone to support PAWS as they continue to need further funding and support in order to care for rescued and abandoned animals.

Recently on the 23rd November PAWS had to temporarily close to accepting new rescues as they were at full capacity.

If you would like to consider donating money, food or your time to supporting PAWS please get in touch with them by visiting https://www.paws.ie/ or their Facebook page. Additional, please consider re-homing a dog and giving it a much needed forever home.
