Callan Community Energy has opened a new solar powered EV charging station in the SuperValu carpark, this provides upto 22kw of fast charging capability and is the first community owned EV charge point in Ireland.
The new charging station can be found at Eircode GJV 53V. you can use the new charging station by downloading the EVBox app for Apple or Android which you can use to pay, the app allows you to:
- See the availability and speed of chargers in the EVBox network
- Get accurate price information before each charging session
- Start charging sessions via RFID charge card at any stations in our network or credit card at EVBox managed stations
- Manage your account, card, and stations in the palm of you hand
This new EV charge station is in addition to the ESB charge point already installed in the parish church capark on Chapel Lane, you can find more information about it on the ESB website.
