On Friday the 21st August Brett’s Hardware opened their new store in Mill Street, the official opening took place at 11.00am.
Established in 1882 Brett’s Hardware has been serving customers for over 138 years and now they’ve expanded there services to their new Callan store which provides a wide range of services including Bathroom Sales, Agri, Garden Centre Trade Counter and even a Cafe.
In 2018 Brett’s applied for planning permission to convert the former Heaten Buckley site to their new store. Prior to this the site had remained vacant since 2009 when the previous business closed due to the recession.
The planning involved converting the existing large warehouse and associated buildings to retail floor space, work has continued on the site since then and the store was originally due to open earlier in March to big fan fair but was delayed due to the Covid19 lockdown.
The new store will be open six days a week and opening hours can be seen below.
