Aldi Callan has had their expansion plans approved by Kilkenny County Council, the plans include an extension to the existing building located at the junction of West Street/Chapel Lane along with changes to the store entrance, relocation of the trolley bay and bike racks.
The expansion will increase the store retail space from 990m2 to 1,316m2 and increase the parking spaces from 80 to 100 spaces.
As part of energy efficiency changes Aldi’s new expansion will also including covering parts of the stores roof with solar panels.
